I went to a book sale at my local library, and came across this haiku as I was browsing the books. Fascinating!

Street Chatter – just say ‘no!’
Hey baby!
Let me walk you across the street
I’ll hold your hand
…
Just say ‘No!’
Don’t just walk away from me
life happens everyday
a great day
a good day
just another day
even a bad day
it’s all life unfolding
embrace each day
with courage and warmth
hEaT
Sizzling,
Steamy, and
Unrelenting.
I surrender.
In a Funk
Pain
more than just aches
more than just physical
more than just temporary
intangible yet unmistakable
agony and brokenness linger
your sting, too well I know
relief, I anticipate
April Showers
Cold Without You
Buried under multiple layers of covers
Adorned in my thickest snuggly socks
Yet the cold I feel remains untamed
It emanates from my feet, and creeps
To every inch of my body, and seemingly
Manages to penetrate my core.
I can almost feel my heart ice over.
Cold without you
Cold without your feet rubbing mine
Cold without the heart-melting love I feel when your gentle hands glide sensually over the contours of my bare frame
Cold without the passion that abounds when we embrace
Cold without you tonight
