If a cat has 9 lives,

this horse has as many lives as it has layers of paint. I’ve seen it painted ‘rusty’ brown to advertise scrap metal collection, I’ve seen it splattered in purple in support of the Baltimore Ravens, and now it’s adorned red in celebration of Thanksgiving (aka Turkey) day. ‘Horsey’ is conveniently located at the intersection of Green & Saratoga St. near Lexington Market.

*Someone*

Very rarely do you meet someone
Someone who makes you laugh
Someone who makes you smile
Someone who wipes tears off your face when you cry
Someone who stands with you,
Even when all else is falling apart.
Someone without whom it is lonely,
Even when you are in a crowd.
Someone who is always in your thoughts
Someone you can trust without a doubt
Someone who just makes you happy
Someone who you want to be with from sunrise to sunset,
And even more from sunset to sunrise.
Someone who holds you so close,
That you feel each others’ racing heart beats
Someone who holds you passionately,
Like he will never let go.
Someone who makes you wonder if you are in love
Someone who you never want to say goodbye to
Someone who rocks your world
Someone you feel like writing a poem to because you miss him.

As someone who loves flowers, I naturally adore butterflies. I took these pictures of preserved butterflies at the Walters Art Museum in Mount Vernon. The butterflies of Maryland definitely lag in color vibrancy compared to those of Central & South America, but they are still pretty to look at. I might just be biased because it’s bitterly cold today, and South America sounds rather amazing right about now. Would be super stoked if someone in Central/South America saw this post, if you are there please leave a comment and let me know which country you are in. Thanks!
